Mr. Meng Qinglong, 46, was a worker in Huolinhe Coal Company, Chaerhure District, Huolinguole City, Inner Mongolia. He started practicing Falun Gong in May 1997. Subsequently all his diseases were healed. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, he was forcibly laid off from his job for 1 year. His wife was twice jailed in a forced labor camp. He also was unlawfully jailed in a detention center several times. In May 2004, he was jailed in Huolinhuole City Detention Center. He once gave in and renounced Falun Gong, but later he resumed the practice. The police used all kinds of methods to persecute him, including harassing him and confiscating his belongings. As a result, his old diseases recurred and he died on February 11, 2005.
