On September 10, 1996, our great and honorable teacher stated in his article, "Cautionary Advice," "If every one of you can understand the Fa from the bottom of your hearts, that truly will be the manifestation of the Fa whose power knows no boundary-the reappearance of the mighty Buddha Fa in the human world!" As I read it again today, I had a new understanding. No words can adequately convey my feelings inside.
An everyday person's motives are usually selfish and every cultivator was once an everyday person. Therefore, we are inclined to be deeply grateful to teacher with an everyday person's mind and thoughts when we realize how we have benefited from cultivation practice and seen the great kindness our teacher has for us. We have not been able to abandon the value system of an everyday person, which has been deeply entrenched in our minds. This kind of human mentality is precisely what our teacher has requested us to rise above and beyond so that we can truly understand what the Fa is about from the bottom of our hearts. In that way we can comprehend the harmonizing nature, the great mighty power, and the significance of this Dafa of the universe. If we can achieve this level of understanding, we will understand the great hardships our honorable teacher has endured while rectifying the Fa of the universe and genuinely bringing people to higher levels. We will understand that our teacher has given everything for the sake of his millions of disciples' steadily moving upwards. We will understand, in order to leave the best for the universe, what great hopes our teacher has placed on those of us who are cultivating during this period of his rectifying the Fa.
With this new understanding I raised the standards for myself, uncovered the "omission" within myself, and purified my motives for cultivation. Master Li said the following in the First Lecture of Zhuan Falun: "Offering salvation to mankind means that you will be genuinely practicing cultivation and not just healing illnesses and keeping fit." I came to understand better the boundless meanings of these words as well as their profound significance in the long history of the universe. I also better comprehend the meaning of genuine cultivation towards higher levels. Therefore, I hope to advance my understanding of Dafa together with my fellow practitioners. During this final round of tribulations, let us uncover the reasons why our confidence has been shaken, and eliminate any negative impact on us resulting from fallacious propaganda. Also, let us search our inner selves to find out whether or not we have equated this genuine cultivation with the old cultivation methods seen previously in human history, since doubts in our mind about our current cultivation way create obstacles preventing us from understanding the truth and from ascending in our cultivation. We should never judge Master Li and the Dafa of the universe with any standards of ordinary human society, nor would it be possible. I also hope, along with practitioners who have stepped forward to validate Dafa, to purify our minds, to truly understand the Fa rationally from the bottom of our hearts, and understand the Fa from within the Fa. Only in this way can we cultivate ourselves to attain the righteous enlightenment of "selflessness and altruism."
Together let us experience and comprehend Master Li's words: "If every one of you can understand the Fa from the bottom of your hearts, that will truly be the manifestation of the Fa whose power knows no boundary-the reappearance of the mighty Buddha Fa in the human world!"
