(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Cheng Guiping who is a resident in Huangshi City, Hubei Province used to suffer from serious asthma and various gynecological problems, before she started to practice Falun Gong. Because her health was not good, her spirits were very low as well. Whether at home or at work, she experienced much tension during her social interactions with others. Ms. Cheng started to practice Falun Gong in October 1997, and in just three months, all her illnesses disappeared. Her spirits were lifted and she became more cheerful. At home, she was respectful to her parents and parents-in-law, and her relationship with her colleagues improved. She was serious and responsible in performing her job. Her superiors noticed her great change and really felt the miraculous power of Falun Gong. At that time, they also expressed a desire to practice Falun Gong.

In July 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started its brutal persecution of Falun Gong. One day in 2001, while Ms. Cheng and another practitioner were at work, suddenly five policemen, led by Zhou Xianjun from the Saishan Police Station in Huashi City, came and arrested them. They were sent to the Shiliaoshan Detention Center. Because Ms. Cheng did not cooperate with the illegal arrest and refused to obey the demands of the police, Zhou Xianjun viciously slapped her. A few days later, Ms. Cheng managed to escape with righteous thoughts. From then on, however, she had live a homeless life and move from place to place in order to avoid further persecution.

During that period, Ms. Cheng continued to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to people, in order to offer salvation to sentient beings. One day in December 2001, she was reported to the authorities while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials in Daye City. She was arrested and incarcerated at Daye City Detention Center. Ms. Cheng was imprisoned for one and a half years. Her term was completed in February 2003. She refused to sign any documents and rejected any "transformation." The guards then sent her to the Shayang Forced Labor Camp for further persecution.

At the Shayang Camp, the guards beat her and tied her up. They told the prison doctor to inject an unknown drug, using a 3-inch long needle, into the veins in her calf. At that moment, Ms. Cheng lost consciousness. She woke up two days later and seemed dazed and confused. A few days after that, Ms. Cheng's mother and husband came to visit her. She could not recognize them. Her mother cried out her name with tears in her eyes, but Ms. Cheng only stood there leaning against the wall and smiled sheepishly. Her family huddled together and cried.

The terrible persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has caused much pain to Cheng Guiping's family. As of today, her husband still lives in fear and emotional pain. Currently, Cheng Guiping is dependent on drugs to maintain a certain amount of rationality and she is staying in Huaxin Hospital's Mental Section.
