A Sudden End to a Young Life

March 26, 2012 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner from Guizhou Province

(Minghui.org) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

“I heard that the son of the deputy head of Weining County Public Security Bureau, Dai Yongzhi, had leukemia and died four days after his diagnosis.”

“He was just about to graduate from college, and his dad had arranged a good job for him. He was only 23 years old ...what a shame!”

“When he went home for winter break his family noticed that there was something wrong with him, so they told his dad to take him to the provincial hospital to have him checked by a doctor. He was later diagnosed with a type of leukemia that was fifty times harder to cure than other types. It was said that he was only the second person in China to have contracted that type of leukemia.”

“People told me that his dad even hired medical experts from America to treat him, but to no avail. The young man still died.”

“So unfortunate!”

This dialogue took place on the streets in Weining County Township in Guizhou Province between February 15 and 16, 2012. Everyone who knows the deputy head of the Weining Public Security Bureau feels sorry for him. For a man in his fifties, his son’s death was undoubtedly a huge blow for him. Then why did this tragedy happen to him?

Ever since he became the deputy head of Weining County Public Security Bureau, Dai Yongzhi has not stopped persecuting Falun Gong practitioners; he frequently broadcasts slanderous reports on local radio and TV. He ordered four teams of officers to search four practitioners’ residences, and also illegally detained a number of practitioners at the Lannigou Brainwashing Center in Guizhou City for more than three months. One practitioner was able to escape, but he has since become destitute to avoid being arrested again. Before June 4, 2009, Dai took his gang of police to harass two practitioners and attempted to lock them up at the brainwashing center.

The above are just a few examples of the hundreds of persecution cases that Dai perpetrated against Falun Gong.
