Prison Guard's Health Restored after Making Declaration to Stop Persecuting Falun Gong

March 07, 2012 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent from mainland China

(Clearwisdom.net) Many of my family and relatives work in the political and judiciary system of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). My father's generation were mostly police. One of my younger sisters works in a prison. Many of the guards there have suffered long term illness, and some have even died. My sister has had to work a lot of overtime recently because so many have been off sick or passed away.

My other younger sister is a prison guard. Since the persecution started in July 1999, she believed in the CCP's lies, and tried to stay consistent with the CCP's policies. She tried to persuade me to quit practicing Falun Gong. I refused. She then asked our mother to sever relations with me. When I told her the facts about Falun Gong, she showed no expression and refused to say anything. Many Falun Gong practitioners were held in her ward, and she also participated in the persecution. I told her, “To have belief is not a crime. It is a right every citizen has. To coerce others to give up their belief with force, however, does go against the law. When someone in the judiciary system does this, he or she is intentionally breaking the law. To hurt others in exchange for a little monetary reward is not worth the retribution that is in store according to heavenly principles.” She just remained silent no matter what I said.

Later, my younger sister got sick. She had headaches all the time and was dizzy. It was like the symptoms of the drug addicts in her prison. She was constantly fatigued and was on sick leave frequently. She went to major hospitals in Beijing, and but none could help her. She had trouble with her husband and her marriage was breaking apart. Her life was miserable.

I told my mother that my sister had committed too many crimes against Falun Gong. She had to repent thoroughly, quit the CCP and its affiliates, and publish a solemn statement publicly on the Internet. My mother agreed to give it a try. I drafted a solemn statement, which stated, “I believed the CCP lies against Falun Gong in the past and participated in the persecution of Falun Gong. I declare that all my words, acts, and anything in writing that lacks respect toward the founder of Falun Gong and Falun Gong practitioners are now nullified. I believe in the greatness of Falun Dafa. I believe in Dafa's Master. I will not engage in the persecution of Falun Gong.” I asked my mother to talk to my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew individually. They all clearly stated that they agreed to the statement. I then sent it in to be published on Minghui.org (the Chinese version of Clearwisdom).

Soon after the publication of the statement from my sister's family, my sister's illness disappeared. Several years have passed, and she remains healthy. The eldest of my younger sisters used not to allow me to visit her home, where our mother lives with her. Now she has told our mother that it alright for me to go home anytime I want. She told us that her husband, who works in a prison, and our youngest sister, a policewoman, and our youngest sister's husband, who works in the judicial system, have all quit the CCP and its affiliates. They all believe that Falun Dafa is great. When I went home last year, she told me that her husband gave up the opportunity to be promoted to deputy warden, which would bring in an additional 500 or 600 yuan a month. They figured that a few hundred yuan and the promotion could cost them endless trouble and even their lives.

Years ago, when my younger sisters were both involved in the persecution, my mother lived with one of them. During that time, my mother often tripped and fell. She too suffered headaches. My younger sister could not help but wonder what caused all this. Then my father died during a treatment as a result of a medical accident. In addition, one of our family members is missing. Now they all believe that these misfortunes were a direct result of the bad things they had done by following CCP orders to persecute Falun Gong.

After my sisters became aware of the facts, their lives improved. Both families were able to buy new cars and moved into new homes. My eldest nephew was admitted into a top university, and after graduation, he found an ideal job. All my family members learned that the words, “Falun Dafa is great,” “Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance is good,” and “Quitting the CCP and its affiliates brings peace” are worth their weight in gold. My mother said, “You are the only practitioner in our family, yet everyone else benefits from your practice.”

The day when I started writing this article, a physician in a prison hospital died. He was cremated yesterday. His son said, “He looked very young in my eyes. He was only 62 years old. It is abnormal. Yet in their prison, it is completely normal.” The physician's son knows that many young prison guards have become ill. The authorities have kept the death toll secret, fearing that no one would want to be employed there, no matter how much the pay, in the brutal, heaven-forbidden suppression that is still going on in today's China.
