(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Luo Wen of Huangshi, Hubei Province is facing trial. Mr. Luo's defense attorney visited him in the First Detention Center of Huangshi on May 21, 2012, and when he was brought in, he had to be supported by two people. He appeared disoriented and did not say a word. The detention center rejected his family's request to visit him.

Mr. Luo was employed by the Huangshi Railroad Bureau. All his colleagues and friends know he is a good person. However, he was framed and sent to a forced labor camp for twelve months on Aug. 7, 2003. On March 27, 2007, Zhou Xianjun, Head of West Saishan District 610 Office, officer Shi Jianguo from the Chengyue Police Station, and two other officers arrested Mr. Luo. While he was detained in the Bagua Detention Center, the guards fiercely kicked his head, causing him to become unconscious and lose his hearing. He was sent to a hospital for emergency treatment. Mr. Luo had to leave home to avoid further persecution.

After Mr. Luo left his home, the local police broke in and ransacked it several times. On July 19, 2011, they went to Shenzhen, the city Mr. Luo was working in, and arrested him. He was transferred to the First Detention Center of Huangshi in mid-August. The police demanded that his wife sign an arrest warrant. She refused, and hired an attorney to defend him.

Mr. Luo's wife and attorney went to the Xisaishan District Procuratorate to look up his case record, but the procuratorate refused to show it to them. Yi Na, a procuratorate employee, told them that attorneys need to get permission from the 610 Office before they could look up case records. Mr. Luo's wife and attorney tried again on May 15, but once again their request was rejected. At the end of December, Mr. Luo's wife went to the Xisaishan District Court to inquire about his case. She was told his case was sent back to the Xisaishan Police Department because of insufficient evidence. She called the police department and said that her husband was innocent. Now that the court has sent his case back, the police department should release Mr. Luo. Wei Tai of the Xisaishan Police Department answered her call and said they would investigate further, but it was absolutely impossible to release her husband.

Luo Wen has been detained at the Detention Center for more than ten months. Due to the persecution, his physical condition is very bad.
