(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties and in 10 provinces. In this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Guoxiang in Critical Condition in Prison

Mr. Wang Guoxiang was arrested on July 1, 2012, and sentenced to five years in prison. He was transferred to the Gongzhuling Prison on March 22, 2013. He is now in critical condition due to the abuse in detention.

2. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Han Zhenkun Detained

Director of the Xishi District Domestic Security Division with surname Qiu and other officers burst into Mr. Han Zhenkun's home on the afternoon of September 15, 2013. After seeing some informational materials about Falun Gong on the table, they arrested Mr. Han and took him to the Xishan District Detention Center.

3. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Liu Jingyuan, Ms. Zhao Yunxia and Ms. Liu Fengling were arrested on September 5, 2013, when they went to the countryside to distribute informational materials about Falun Gong. Officers from the Yangqu County Police Department made the arrest and ransacked their homes. Ms. Zhao and Ms. Liu were sent to the Taiyuan No. 1 Detention Center. Mr. Liu was sent to the Yangqu County Detention Center.

4. [Shanghai] Ms. Gao Qinmei Arrested; Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Gao Qinmei was arrested on October 22, 2012, by officer Wang Jue from the Changning 610 Office. She was sentenced to four years in prison on May 28, 2013, by Changning District Court. Her family was not informed. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Chongqing] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhou Yourong, Mr. Zhou Shijie and Ms. Xie Qin from the Jiangbei District were arrested on September 15, 2013. Police ransacked their homes. Mr. Zhou's car, two iPads, a laptop, another computer, two printers and three cell phones were confiscated. Ms. Zhou and Ms. Xie were detained in the Qianzhugou Brainwashing Center. Mr. Zhou was sent to the Fusheng Detention Center.

6. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Qing Detained

Ms. Liu Qing was arrested on the morning of September 13, 2013, when she went to the countryside to speak to people about Falun Gong. She is being held at the Panjin City No. 3 Detention Center. Officers from the Xiyue Village Police Station made the arrest.

7. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jia Guiqin Brutally Tortured in Prison

Ms. Jia Guiqin is being held in Ward No. 5 (Team 5) of the Liaoning Province Women's Prison. She has been brutally tortured and has become emaciated.

8. [Chongqing] Mr. Wang Anyu from Bishan County Arrested

Mr. Wang Anyu from Bishan County was arrested on the evening of September 15, 2013.

9. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Hong Xiuqing Detained

Ms. Hong Xiuqing was arrested on September 15, 2013, while speaking to people about Falun Gong. She has been transferred to the Qianguo County Detention Center. Officers from the Zhanqian Police Station made the arrest.

10. [Jinning County, Yunnan Province] Mr. Li Wenbo Imprisoned

Mr. Li Wenbo from Jinning County is being held in Ward No. 8 of the Yunnan Province No.1 Prison. He was handcuffed and shackled for doing the Falun Gong exercises in prison.

11. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zou Xiumei Arrested; Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Zou Xiumei was arrested in early August 2013. Her whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Qian and Ms. Yang Arrested; Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Qian (surname) and Ms. Yang (surname) were arrested on September 12, 2013, when they went to Shiyan City to speak to people about Falun Gong. Their whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Xiangshan County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Chen Yafen Arrested

Ms. Chen Yafen from Xiangshan County was arrested on September 13, 2013.

Ms. He Xia and Ms. Yaning were arrested on the afternoon of September 17, 2013, while they spoke to people about Falun Gong in Wangzhuang Village, Liwu Town. They have been transferred to the Li County Detention Center. Qi Guiling, head of Wangzhuang Village, and Tian Lihui from Li County 610 Office made the arrest.

Ms. Lu Mengjun and Mr. Liu Liyan were arrested on the morning of September 1, 2013, while distributing materials about the persecution of Falun Gong in Shebu Town, Xiangtan County. They are being held at the Xiangtan Detention Center.

16. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Fengwu Detained

Ms. Wang Fengwu, 62, was arrested on July 24, 2013, while distributing materials about the persecution of Falun Gong around the Shijingshan area. She has been transferred to the Beijing No.1 Detention Center.

17. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Wei Suge and Mr. Si Hanwei Arrested

Ms. Wei Suge and Mr. Si Hanwei, a couple from Kaifeng City, were arrested on the morning of September 18, 2013. Officers from the Kaifeng Police Department burst into their home in the afternoon and confiscated their computer, laptop, printer, Falun Gong informational materials and other items. They arrested Mr. Si and Ms. Wei and took them to the police department.

18. [Liuhe County, Jilin Province] Ms. Xie Shuping Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Xie Shuping was taken to the Tonghua City Brainwashing Center on September 11, 2013.
