(Minghui.org) I have been reading quite a few articles in Minghui Weekly recently, regarding the Falun Gong exercises. Nowadays, many fellow practitioners do not pay much attention to the exercises. I found that this situation has existed for some time, including for myself. I would like to discuss the importance of practicing the Falun Gong exercises during the Fa-rectification period.

As we all know, after the persecution of Falun Dafa began in 1999, Dafa practitioners changed from doing personal cultivation to becoming Fa-rectification period practitioners. What we do, including our Falun Gong practice, now has the added the meaning of Fa-rectification, which is entirely different from that of personal cultivation. During each movement we are fully immersed in Dafa's divine power, disintegrating evil, saving sentient beings, and purifying celestial bodies. Therefore, many things are not as simple as they appear to be. Besides, I found that our fellow practitioners in mainland China don't have good opportunities like before to do the exercises together, and don't have others to correct or improve their movements, rendering them to be sometimes quite inaccurate. The five sets of Falun Gong exercises are serious parts of Dafa, and must be done as accurately as possible. They must not be taken lightly.

I would also like to suggest that fellow practitioners carefully study “The Mechanics and Principles of the Exercise Movements” from The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa (大圆满法) (also called The Great Way of Spiritual Perfection), a part of the Fa. In fact, practicing gong is also included in doing the three things well.
