(Minghui.org) One summer in 2010, I went to distribute Shen Yun DVDs at a country market with some other practitioners. At the beginning everything went very smoothly: It seemed that everyone passing by wanted a Shen Yun DVD. But one of us was caught by a policeman, and he was trying to confiscate the DVDs.

I walked over to them, pretending to be a passerby, and tried to settle the problem. He was grabbing my colleague so I pulled his hand away and asked, “Sir, why do you grab this woman's hand? A man shouldn't fight with a woman. If there is anything between you two, you can talk about it. See, you have hurt that woman's hand”.

The policeman said, “She is a Falun Gong student and is distributing DVDs!” I asked him, “Did she ask for money from you when she gave you a DVD?” He answered, “No.”

I said, “Since she didn't ask for any money from you, that means she just gave it to you. Is it reasonable to arrest someone who gives you something for free?”

He said, “All Falun Gong people should be arrested.” I said, “Officer, Falun Gong is the great law of the universe. It teaches people to be good. The police should arrest criminals, not good people! Can't you tell good from bad? Let me tell you this: I have read about Falun Gong and watched DVDs about Falun Gong. It's very good. I love it. It's all about Chinese traditional culture. It teaches people how to be good as well as about the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. If there were more good people in society, wouldn't your job as a police officer be much easier?”

While I was talking, I looked around and saw that many people gathered around us to watch. I continued: “Falun Gong is such a wonderful thing and free. You don't want the DVD, but I do! I pointed to the other practitioner and said: Give me one of those DVDs please. I will take it home and ask my family and friends to watch.”

And then people from the crowd gathered round also began to ask for DVDs, and soon they had all been given out.

The policeman was embarrassed and left. While I wanted to tell him more about Falun Gong, that would have to wait until another day.

One day last year I dressed down so that the people I encountered when I went out would think I was a farmer. I put some truth-clarification materials in a bag. Among the materials were copies of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, Shen Yun DVDs and many others.

I went to a police station. I looked inside and noticed that there weren't too many people there, seeing only one policeman on duty. The rest of the people there were not police. I asked the officer on duty, “May I know whether your chief is upstairs? I have something to see him for.” He said, “Go upstairs and see for yourself.” I went upstairs. Several offices were empty but the doors were all open. I set some truth-Falun Gong materials on each desk in each office. After that, I left.

We give out DVDs, truth-clarification materials, and amulets to our neighbors, colleagues, bosses, policemen, kids, vendors, community officials and other people on the street. Most of them have been able to accept the materials and quit the Party and its affiliated organizations.
