(Minghui.org) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Judge Wang Jingye, 48, from Huaihua, Hunan Province, was fishing by a small river on July 21, 2013. He hooked a fish, then pulled hard on his fishing rod, but he fell into the river and drowned. A police officer accompanying him attempted to rescue him in the two-meter-deep river, but was not successful.

Since the communist regime started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, Wang had followed Jiang Zemin's orders. He disregarded his judicial responsibilities, his conscience, and moral standards. He illegally sentenced more than 17 practitioners based on false charges.

Practitioner Mr. Pan Jianjun, a capable and talented young man, was sentenced to seven years in prison. He died on January 23, 2004, in prison as a result of cruel torture. His mother also passed away after struggling with grief and depression over the extreme injustice to her son. This also took quite a toll on his father, who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and became paralyzed. Mr. Pan's family has not been allowed to retrieve his ashes from cremation.

In fact, every illegally sentenced Falun Gong practitioner has endured enormous suffering. The longest sentence handed down by Wang Jingye was 11 years in prison to practitioner Chen Kaiming; practitioners Tang Qingying and Xiao Guiying were both twice sentenced by Wang, with Tang given a total prison term of ten years and six months, and Xiao a total of eleven years.

Wang continued his criminal behavior in 2013. On April 11, he tried practitioner Chen Kaiyu, who is now in Huaihua No 2 Detention Center. Practitioners asked Wang to stop persecuting good people. He refused to listen and stated: “I'll follow the Chinese Communist Party to the end.”

Three months later, Wang Jingye's life ended in a bizarre accident. Perhaps he has once again proven an ancient saying: “What goes around comes around; good and evil will receive their rewards in due time.”

Wang Jingye's death brought grief and sorrow to his family and friends. In a way, he too was a victim of the CCP's deceptions and the persecution We hope that those who continue to carry out the persecution policy of the communist regime take heed of Wang's fate. Be kind and good and making the right choice between good and evil is the way to avoid disastrous consequences.
