(Minghui. Org) Ms. Wu Zhengzheng, a Falun Gong practitioner, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison in Taicang City in December 2013, and was taken to Nantong Prison on March 5, 2014.

Ms. Wu was notified on November 14, 2013, by the Taicang Court, that she would be tried at 1:45 p.m. on November 21, 2013. However, just one day before that, an official from the court called to say that the trial had been canceled.

She was then taken to the Taicang Detention Center on December 5, 2013, and was tried there. Her family was not notified. There was no attorney, no witness, and no evidence. Ms. Wu asked them who they were and was told that they would not tell her. If they did, they said, their names would end up on the "evildoers list."

Ms. Wu was released on January 4, 2014. A few days later, she received a notice from the court again and was told that she would be tried on January 21, 2014. Many of her relatives went to listen, and she planned to defend herself. In the courtroom, she discovered that the announcement of the verdict was all that would take place.

The authorities tried to avoid a trial but still have her incarcerated.

The director of the court knew that he had done something wrong and said, “If you need anything, go to the 610 Office,” implying that it was the responsibility of the 610 Office, and his hands were clean.

Ms. Wu had also been sentenced in 2005 to three and a half years for practicing Falun Dafa.
