(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 15 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 20 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jin Changzhu Died Due to Persecution
Mr. Jin Changzhu and his wife were arrested again and taken to a brainwashing center in 2012. The police also ransacked his home. Mr. Jin was later released; but his wife, who had high blood pressure, was still held at the facility.
His wife had a stroke following her release. Mr. Jin was in miserable pain, he attended to his wife while bearing the pressure of persecution. He died in a hospital at the age of 72 on March 11, 2015.
2. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Eight Practitioners Detained
Eight practitioners from Huludao City were arrested by armed officers on March 16, 2015 for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The officers were from the Chaoyang County Domestic Security Division, Dongdatun Police Station, and Chaoyang Special Police Team. Several arrested practitioners are being held at the Chaoyang City Detention Center.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wei Long Persecuted
Mr. Wei Long is being held at the No. 5 Ward of the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County, Hubei Province. He was not allowed to contact other practitioners and beaten by those who strictly monitored and guarded him.
4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Yajuan Sentenced
Ms. Xu Yajuan, tried by the Linghe District Court on January 23, 2015, was informed on February 27, 2015 that she was sentenced to a three-year prison term. She had come to appeal the verdict.
5. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Gu Po Arrested
Ms. Gu Po, nearly 80, was arrested by a plainclothes officer on the morning of March 15, 2015. She gave him a copy of “Scale the Great Firewall”. She was taken to the Nancheng Police Station and released after several hours.
6. [Tianjin] Ms. Cong Peishan and Her Sister Arrested
Ms. Cong Peishan, 76, and her sister, 78, were arrested and taken to a police station on the afternoon of March 18, 2015. Ms. Cong Peishan's son overheard the two elderly practitioners and officers talking when he called the police station about his mother. Their whereabouts are unknown.
7. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Jiqing Arrested
Mr. Liu Jiqing was arrested at home on March 18, 2015.
8. [Xian City, Shaanxi Province] Four Practitioners Persecuted
Mr. Song Zhi, Mr. Feng Xincheng, Mr. Yuan Guangwu, and Ms. Yang Yanyun have been held over eight months by officers from the Yanta District Domestic Security Division. Officers Mao Zunxing (毛尊兴) and Yan Meiming (阎楣明) repeatedly ransacked the homes of the four practitioners in attempts to find evidence of their guilt. (They were guilty of nothing other than remaining steadfast in their beliefs). The so called evidence was all rejected by the Yanta Procuratorate.
Mr. Song held a hunger strike to protest the persecution. He was taken to the Ankang Hospital, a prisoners' hospital.
9. [Beizhen City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Wei Arrested
Ms. Zhao Wei was arrested by three officers including Ma Jifa (马纪发) from the Kulongtai Police Department on March 18, 2015 for distributing 2015 Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs.
She was taken to that police department and then at noon transferred to the Beizhen City Domestic Security Division. Officers from the Domestic Security Division ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released that afternoon.
10. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Dai Zhenyun Tried
Ms. Dai Zhenyun was tried again by the Songshan District Court in Chifeng City on the morning of March 19, 2015.
Ms. Dai was arrested on December 29, 2014, and tried by the Songshan District Court on January 16, 2015.

11. [Tianjin] Ms. Deng Xiaofen Tried
Ms. Deng Xiaofen was tried by the Hongqial District Court on March 23, 2015.

12. [Jianping County, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Lin Guiyun and Xiao were arrested on the evening of March 17, 2015. Ms. Lin was taken to the Tienan Police Station in Jiangping County and later released. Xiao was put in a black car and taken away. Xiao's brother, Mr. Xiao Yue, was later arrested and his home was ransacked.

13. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zheng Guodong Tried
Mr. Zheng Guodong was tried by Tiedong Court without informing his family on February 4, 2015.
Mr. Zheng was arrested by officers including Cai Yonggang (蔡永刚) and Wu Baowei (吴宝威) from the Qilingzi Police Station at 6pm on December 4, 2014. The police ransacked his home.

14. [Yulin City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Wang Tuoxiao Arrested
Mr. Wang Tuoxiao was arrested on February 11, 2015 for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was later released due to the efforts of his family and friends. During his was release, the police injured his arm when he refused to write the guarantee statement.

15. [Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shen Wenying Detained
Ms. Shen Wenying was arrested on January 30, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Wuxi No. 2 Detention Center. Her case will soon be submitted to the Court.
16. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ling Honghua's Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Ling Honghua, 58, was arrested and her whereabouts is unknown.

Ms. Cai Hui and Mr. Lin Ying were arrested by officers from Jiexi on March 16, 2015 for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.
18. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Xiancheng Detained
Mr. Zhou Xiancheng, in his 70s, was arrested on March 5, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is being held at the Liuji Village Brainwashing Center in Xinzhou District.
19. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Province] Four Practitioners Detained
Ms. Jiang Hongying, Mr. Zhao Yuhu, Ms. Zhao Sumei, and Ms. Wang Xiangyu were arrested by officers from the Shengli Police Station on December 22, 2014 for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Zhao is being held at the Yongning County Detention Center, and the others are being held at the Yinchuan City Detention Center. The Yongning County Procuratorate approved the arrest on January 23, 2015.
Ms. Jiang, in her 70s, retired from the Ningxia Water Department. Before this arrest, she was detained in forced labor camp twice and she was once sentenced to a seven-year prison term.
Mr. Zhao, in his 40s, an engineer from the Ningxia Residential Construction Development Group, was once sentenced to a two-year forced labor term and received a seven-year prison term before this arrest.
Ms. Zhao is nearly 50 years old, and Ms. Wang around 70.
