A Change in Career, But Not of Heart: Former 610 Office Head Dies

May 09, 2015 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Hebei Province, China

(Minghui.org) Wang Jizhong (王继忠), former head of the Leting County 610 Office in Hebei Province and principal of a local CCP School, died in a car accident on March 1, 2015.

Promotions and Bonuses through Persecuting Falun Gong

Wang Jizhong was a Marxist and advocated the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong.

During his 10-plus years with the 610 Office, an extralegal entity in charge of the persecution of Falun Gong, Wang Jizhong directed the arrests of many Falun Gong practitioners and sent them to labor camp or prison. As a result of his actions, dozens of families were broken, some practitioners suffered a mental collapse from intense brainwashing, some became homeless to avoid persecution, and some died as a result of torture.

For this, Wang was praised, awarded and honored by CCP officials. He even went after practitioners who were his friends or acquaintances. A local CCP secretary praised him as “punishing his own guilty families to uphold justice.”

Besides promotions, he was given other perks, including ownership of a residential building and a two-story commercial building. His daughter also got a chance to study abroad.

As more and more people discovered the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong, 610 Office officials fell under public scrutiny. Wang saw that there was not much future in being involved in the persecution. He bribed government officials and was finally promoted to be the principal of a local CCP school.

Ignoring Warnings about Karmic Retribution

Wang appeared to be an easy-going person. He might have been a good father and husband, but he had surrendered his conscience to the CCP.

Falun Gong practitioners tried to warn him about karmic retribution for harming innocent people. He shouted, “You claim that 'good is rewarded, and evil is met with karmic retribution', but I'm still alive and well, aren't I?”

Ignoring their warnings, Wang directed local police to arrest elderly practitioner Li Xueyou, whose wife became grief-stricken and passed away.

Leaving his position in the 610 Office may have been a good career move for Wang, but it could not save his life, as his heart did not change.

The following are other cases in our area that appeared to have been karmic retribution for persecuting Falun Gong.

Deng Lixian (邓力宪), vice president of the Leting Police Department, died of a sudden illness; Ma Zhishen (马智申), court vice president who hosted trials against Falun Gong practitioners, died of cancer; Li Baoping(李保平), commander of the Police Department, in charge of arresting practitioners, had to have heart transplant surgery.

Fan Shaohui (范绍慧), former county CCP secretary, is now imprisoned. He launched mass arrests of Falun Gong practitioners after he was promoted to CCP secretary of Qian'an City.
