(Minghui.org) Many Falun Gong practitioners are now exercising their legal right to sue Jiang Zemin for launching the persecution of Falun Gong and causing them great harm and tremendous suffering during the past 16 years. The momentum of this new wave of lawsuits against the former Chinese dictator is on the rise.

The Minghui website receives copies of criminal complaints against Jiang from many practitioners daily. Over 103,000 practitioners have submitted their lawsuits between mid-May and July 23.

During the week of June 26 to July 2, 2015, 141 people from Deyang, Sichuan Province and 250 from Chifeng, Inner Mongolia filed. Below, we present selected cases from these two cities.

These lawsuits were mailed to the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate, which must process all criminal complaints filed by citizens, as of a recent ruling by the Supreme People's Court.

Most of the plaintiffs stated how they benefited from the practice of Falun Gong, both physically and spiritually. They were freed from illness, and gained a more amiable temperament and hope in life.

However, their lives were turned upside down when Jiang Zemin launched his campaign to suppress Falun Gong in 1999. They were arbitrarily detained, imprisoned, and tortured. Their homes were ransacked by police and their families threatened.

Police ransacked Ms. Zhao Xianchang's home multiple times, and destoryed her father's Chinese medical clinic. When her father asked a policeman why he treated them that way, he replied, “It was Jiang Zemin who ordered us to do it.”

Mr. Wang Xiaodong was shocked by electric batons so many times that his mouth became disfigured. The police officer who tortured him said, “We do not hate or resent you. If you have a complaint, go to Jiang Zemin.”

Mr. Wange still bears the scars caused by the electric shocks.

Mr. Wang was sentenced to another three years of forced labor in 2006. Chifeng City Public Security Bureau Chief Yang Chunyue (杨春悦) reportedly called the forced labor camp and asked them to kill Mr. Wang inside. He did not die, but suffered the most unimaginable torture while there.

Several officers beat her down to the ground, kicked her head and body, and pulled her hair. She was beaten black and blue all over.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
