(Minghui.org) After we submitted our criminal complaints against former dictator Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong, local officials from police stations, residential committees, and judicial departments contacted us about our lawsuits. They would either come to our homes in person or call us with questions.

I think we should face those officials with righteous thoughts.

My family called me on my way home from work and told me that five police officers were waiting for me at home. I immediately asked Master for help and thought that it was a good chance for me to tell them about Falun Gong and the persecution.

They said they were following instructions from the district Political and Legal Affairs Committee. Their superior officer told them that they had to see me in person.

They asked many questions: Did I write the complaint? When did I post it? Did anyone organize or initiate sending the lawsuits? Why didn't I appeal to lower levels of the Procuratorate first, instead of filing the complaint directly to the Supreme People's Procuratorate?

I didn't answer any of their questions. I just told them about Falun Gong and why Jiang Zemin launched the persecution 16 years ago.

I told them that I submitted the case because the current government claims to govern the country by rule of law, according to a recent ruling that “The Supreme People's Procuratorate will guarantee the registration and processing of all criminal and civil complaints.”

I said that I had benefited greatly from practicing Falun Gong. However, Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted for over 16 years. As a citizen, I have an obligation to report the person responsible for these crimes to the authorities.

I also explained why I bypassed lower levels of appeal and mailed the complaint directly to the Supreme People's Procuratorate. As the persecution is still going on, we practitioners, myself included, do not want any local officials to commit any more wrongdoings against Falun Gong.

If we were to mail our complaints to lower-level government agencies, some officials might report us to their superiors and get us arrested, which we do not want to see happen.

The police chief responded, “Now I understand Falun Gong's 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance!'”

In the end, I said, “Falun Gong has been wronged. Its reputation will be restored one day. I hope you report what I said about the complaints truthfully to the government and let them make the right decision. Do your best to uphold the law and justice.”

From my own understanding, suing Jiang Zemin is a celestial phenomenon reflected in the human world and that Master has arranged it.

Master said in Zhuan Falun,

“Without human action happening under cosmic changes, such conditions would not have been brought to ordinary human society, and neither would they be called cosmic changes.”

Suing Jiang will not only help stop the persecution, but it is also for practitioners to step out of humanness, let go of their attachment of fear, clarify the facts, and save people.

In suing Jiang Zemin, Master is putting those police officers and officials in front of us so that we can let them know about Falun Gong and the persecution. It is part of our cultivation and an opportunity to let go of attachments of resentment, revenge, and fear, and to enrich our compassionate Buddha-nature.
