(Minghui.org) When I went on a tour from my hometown to Xi’an, I met and talked with a fellow countryman. He quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations after I had clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to him.
I asked if he recited the sentences I had told him, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
“Yes, I did! But...” looking a little embarrassed, he continued. “I still do not understand why I should recite these sentences and why people can be blessed and have a bright future as soon as they renounce the CCP.”
These words startled me. Then, I immediately realized that I had failed to explain to him the facts about Falun Dafa in a way that he could accept!
Then I began to talk to him in great detail about Falun Dafa and the persecution. In the end, he thanked me and said, “I have come to see why the CCP is so wicked and why it is good for people to support Falun Dafa by reciting those phrases.”
Understand the Fa in a Deeper Sense
However his gratitude did not make me feel happy. Instead, I felt heavy in my heart. I saw the big loophole in myself when it came to talking to people about Falun Dafa, the persecution, and when I encouraged them to quit the CCP.
After I returned home, I looked to Master’s Fa, and found my problems.
Master taught us:
“To save a person is to save what’s at the core of a person. And what’s at the core is reflected in his thoughts and spirit, whereas superficial things may not be very important.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2015 New York Fa Conference”)
“The emergence of the Communist Party and the CCP’s real goal is to have people hate Gods and Buddhas, to propagate atheism, to instill a philosophy of “struggle,” and to thereby destroy humankind. And this is the reason Dafa disciples are to clarify the truth. The goal is to get rid of the evil’s lies, to enable people to see the CCP’s true face, to clear away the sins committed by people against Gods and Buddhas, and to thereby save the world’s people.” (“The Ultimate Goal of Clarifying the Truth” from The Essentials of Diligent Progress Vol. III)
“They were able to take the initiative to quit the Party, which counts as having withdrawn from the wicked CCP, but their reason for doing so is unknown. Was it because they didn’t benefit [from the Party] as they had hoped to? Or perhaps it was some other, human type of motive like being upset about something? Then it doesn’t count, for a person has to state his or her stance, while good and evil play out so dramatically, for the mark to be removed.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference”)
Master's teachings made me understand in a deeper sense why it is so important for Falun Dafa disciples to clarify the truth.
As it is the Fa that saves sentient beings, a person can’t eliminate the evil’s lies and clear away his or her sins unless he or she really understands the basic facts about Falun Dafa.
Show Difference Between Dafa and CCP
Practitioners have to show the differences between the pure beauty of this cultivation practice and the wickedness of the CCP. The person also needs to understand why he should sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Only if he or she announces his or her withdrawal from the CCP organizations because he or she truly understood the truth, can he or she erase the “beast’s mark“ and be truly saved eventually.
Even though I had previously read Master’s relevant teachings, why did I not follow what I was taught? The main reason is that I failed to study the Fa well and understand and focus on why only those who learned the facts about Falun Dafa could be saved.
Consequently, driven by my attachment to a specific way of doing things, including the attachment to seeking quick success and instant benefit, I took the number of people who quit the CCP as more important than thoroughly clarifying the truth. Therefore, there must be a great number of sentient beings who were persuaded by me to renounce the CCP, but who had not been truly saved because of my attachments, which led to their failure to truly understand the situation.
Now, that I feel deeply sorry for having been irresponsible and unmerciful to those destined to learn the facts and be saved because of my deeply hidden selfishness.
I will follow Master’s teachings, remove all human attachments and engage myself wholeheartedly in clarifying the truth about the practice and then encourage people to quit the CCP.
