(Minghui.org) Mr. Chen Yan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Faku County, Shenyang City, was arrested at home by five police officers from the Dengshibao Town Police Station and Dingjiafang Town Police Station around 11:00 a.m. on February 19, 2016. He was taken to the Dengshibao Town Police Station and then transferred to the Dingjiafang Town Police Station. The Dingjiafang Police confiscated his house key and cell phone. He was then taken to the Faku County Detention Center.
On the day of the arrest, the police, led by Yang Xianzhou, director of the Dengshibao Town Police Station, climbed over the wall from a neighbor's yard into Mr. Chen's yard and broke into his house to arrest him. They ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books. When the police took Mr. Chen away, they did not allow him to put on a coat or pants.
Mr. Chen's wife was not allowed to see him after she went to the police station. They refused to pay attention to her and demanded that she leave.
Mr. Chen's home was ransacked by officers from the Dingjiafang Town Police Station on June 27, 2013. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Chen was not at home at the time and had to leave home to avoid further persecution. Chen Chao, director of the Dingjiafang Town Police Station, and other officers tried to find and arrest Mr. Chen.
