(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Shuxian Detained
Ms. Wang Shuxian from the Dongli District was arrested by police on May 6, 2016. She is held in a detention center.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
A male practitioner named Daxia, Mr. Tong Qing, and Mr. Jiang Weimin were arrested on May 6, 2016.
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guan Yanping Arrested
Ms. Guan Yanping, principal of Zhangjiaogou Elementary School in Dizangsi Township, Yi County, was arrested on May 4, 2016.
4. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Pan Guizhen, Mr. Wang Xiaoyu, Mr. Pan Hanfen, and Mr. Yao Binhua, from Tuanfeng County, were arrested by officers from the Dandian Township Police Station in Tuanfeng County on April 27, 2016. Ms. Wang was taken to the Huanggang City No. 1 Detention Center the following day. The other three practitioners were released because of high blood pressure, but were each forced to pay 5,000 yuan.
5. [Xi County, Henan Province] Mr. Zhou Zhiyou Detained
Mr. Zhou Zhiyou was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station when he distributed Falun Gong informational materials on the evening of April 24, 2016. His home was ransacked. Mr. Zhou is held in the Xi County Detention Center.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cong Yingyue Taken to Prison
Ms. Cong Yingyue, 64, from the Shahekou District, was taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison on April 26, 2016. She was arrested on June 14, 2015, and was later sentenced to four years in prison.
7. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zuo Yulian Arrested
Ms. Zuo Yulian from Yinjiadian Village in Jiaoxi Town was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Nanguan Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong at a farmers market on May 8, 2016.
8. [Yichun City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Yu Wuping Arrested
Mr. Yu Wuping was arrested by Anfu County police during a reunion with classmates on April 30, 2016. She was taken to the Hukeng Police Station.
9. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Lei Weifeng Detained
Mr. Lei Weifeng was arrested by officers from the Shijing Town Police Station in Fei County when he distributed Falun Gong informational materials in Shijing Town on May 4, 2016. He is held in the Fei County Detention Center.

10. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cai Xi Detained
Ms. Cai Xi, 56, from the Chancheng District, was arrested on April 17, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party. The police confiscated a computer and cash, as well as other personal belongings. She is held in the Shiwan Detention Center.

11. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Jinping Suffers Severe Anemia
Ms. Wu Jinping was sentenced to seven years in prison. She was transferred from the Chaoyang City Detention Center to a prison. The prison authorities refused to admit her. Ms. Wu developed uterine tumors due to persecution which have bled for an extended period of time. She is also now severely anemic, but detention center officials still refuse to release her.

Mr. Yu You from the Beixing Farm was arrested by officers from the Qitaihe City Police Department on May 8, 2016.
At the same time, Mr. Yan, a teacher from the Forestry Bureau, was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Shuqi Police Department. The officers confiscated a computer, a printer, and other personal belongings. Mr. Li Baohua was also arrested by officers from the Taoshan Police Station.
