(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to torture during their detention, and at least 28 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cong Yingyue Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Cong Yingyue from Shahekou District was arrested on June 14, 2015. She was recently sentenced to four years in prison by the Shahekou District Court.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sheng Lianying Taken to Prison
Ms. Sheng Lianying was arrested on August 10, 2015 for telling people about Falun Gong. Subsequently, she was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison by the Ganjingzi District Court. She was taken to Liaoning Women's Prison on March 29, 2016.
3. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Hu Gaohua Detained
Ms. Hu Gaohua was arrested by officers from Panggong Police Station in the Xiangcheng District on the morning of April 14, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. She is held in Xiangcheng District Detention Center.
4. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Jiang Detained
Ms. Jiang from Qingshan Township was arrested on April 15, 2016. She is held in the Nong'an County Detention Center.
5. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Mingxiu Detained
Ms. Li Mingxiu from Nanxing Town was arrested on April 8, 2016 by officers from the Nanxing Town Police Station when she was telling people about Falun Gong. She is held in Longfeng Village Detention Center, Shuangdong Town, Jingyang District, Deyang City.

6. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhou Guanren Detained
Mr. Zhou Guanren was arrested at his home by officers from Dongguan Police Station of Licheng District in the morning on April 18, 2016. He was detained for seven days in Zhonggong Detention Center.
7. [Suixi County, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zhang Jingyang and Mr. Wu Cheren Arrested
Mr. Zhang Jingyang and Mr. Wu Cheren from Jiepao Town drove to Gangmen Town to distribute Falun Gong informational materials on the evening of April 7, 2016. They were followed by officers from the Gangmen Police Station. Mr. Wu was arrested, and the car they drove was confiscated. Mr. Zhang escaped.
8. [Suixi County, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zheng Huawu Arrested
Mr. Zheng Huawu from Jiepao Town was arrested at home on April 8, 2016 by officials from Suixi County Political and Legal Affairs Committee, officers from Gangmen Police Station, and officers from the local police station. His home was ransacked.
9. [Xinyi City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Chen Siyan and Ms. Zhang Shimin Arrested
Mr. Chen Siyan and Ms. Zhang Shimin were arrested and taken to a police station when telling people about Falun Gong in the countryside on April 10, 2016. Their tricycle was confiscated.
10. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Lu Hongtao Detained
Mr. Lu Hongtao from Xizhibo Village in Laiyang City was arrested at his own store by officers from the Laiyang Domestic Security Division on April 13, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. He was taken to a detention center.
11. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sui Guilan Detained
Ms. Sui Guilan of Lishu District was arrested on the morning of April 6, 2016 in the downstairs of her residential building by the director of the Pinggang Police Station and Yang Hongsheng, an officer from the Lishu District Domestic Security Division. The officers were staked out there. She was detained for five days.
12. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tu Yuanfa Arrested
Ms. Tu Yuanfa was arrested by plainclothes officers when she and her husband went out on March 26, 2016. The officers beat Ms. Tu's husband, who tried to stop the officers from arresting her. Ms. Tu was released several hours later.
13. [Jianchang County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Guilin Arrested
Guo Jian, director of the Lamadong Town Police Station, and two other officers broke into Mr. Sun Guilin's home and arrested him on the morning of April 15, 2016. His whereabouts are unknown.
14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xiaoli Arrested
Ms. Wang Xiaoli was arrested by officers from the Taling Police Station at noon on April 5, 2016.

15. [Xiuwen County, Guizhou Province] Ms. Kong Dezhen Taken to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Kong Dezhen was arrested by officers from Zhazuo Police Station and Forest Farm Police Station on April 10, 2016. Her home was ransacked. She was held in Xiuwen Detention Center. Later, she was taken to Lannigou Brainwashing Center in the Huaxi District.
16. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Sizhen Detained
Mr. Zhang Sizhen from Xianying Residential Community was arrested by officers from the Central District Domestic Security Division on April 6, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. He was detained for 15 days.
17. [Dunhuang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Tang Zhongbi Arrested
Ms. Tang Zhongbi from the Qinghai Oilfield in Qili Town was arrested by officers from the Hami and Jiuquan areas on the evening of March 17, 2016. She is detained at the Hami Railroad Police Department.
Ms. Li, Ms. Ding Yinglan, Mr. Zhou, and his wife, also from the Qinghai Oilfield, were recently arrested. Ms. Li was brought back home the following day by her family. The remaining practitioners are held in the Qili Town Public Security Division.
18. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Zhihua Arrested
Mr. Wang Zhihua, 77, was arrested and taken to the Taishan Police Station when distributing Falun Gong informational materials in the afternoon on April 17, 2016. The officers forcibly took blood samples and fingerprints from him, and they photographed him. He was released that night.
19. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liao Mingxiang Arrested
Ms. Liao Mingxiang from Mengyang Town was arrested by patrol officers on March 15, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated 3,550 yuan in cash. In addition, she was fined 2,000 yuan.
20. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Song Aiya Detained
Ms. Song Aiya was arrested at work by Liu Yong and other officers from Qiandong Police Station on March 24, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. She was detained for 12 days in Baihuashan Detention Center.

21. [Si County, Anhui Province] Mr. Liu Liangqun Detained
Officials from the Si County Court took Mr. Liu Liangqun, 74, away at his home on the morning of April 14, 2016. They left a verdict which stated that Mr. Liu was sentenced to three years in prison. Mr. Liu is held in the Suzhou City Detention Center.

24. [Chongqing] Ms. Yang Renlan and Ms. Zheng Suyuan Arrested
Ms. Yang Renlan and Ms. Zheng Suyuan, from Gao Town, Fengdu County, were arrested by officers from Fengdu County 610 Office and the Domestic Secretary Division when posting Falun Gong informational posters in Longkong Town on February 27, 2016. Both practitioners were severely beaten; the police were trying to force a confession through torture.
