(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 10 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Wenrong's Health in Jeopardy as a Result of Persecution
Ms. Zhang Wenrong has repeatedly been sentenced to forced labor for not giving up her belief in Falun Gong. She was constantly harassed and persecuted after she was released from prison. She was forcibly displaced. The constant stress of persecution resulted in blood in her stool for a long time.
Ms. Zhang was arrested and taken to the Tianjin Public Security Hospital when she went to the Tianjin People's Hospital for a follow-up physical examination on March 14, 2016. There she was forcibly injected with unknown drugs. The drugs caused her to feel extremely weak, in addition to vertigo, deafness, and memory decline. She was sentenced to a three-year prison term, which is to be served outside prison.
2. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Dayong Sentenced to Prison
The Ji'an Court recently sentenced Mr. Li Dayong to three years in prison for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese Communist Party leader who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong.

Mr. Jin Mingyuan was arrested on August 1, 2016. His whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Meiying Arrested
Ms. Liu Meiying, 50, from Jimo City was arrested when she talked to people about Falun Gong on August 1, 2016. Her home was ransacked.

Mr. Peng Yunchang was arrested by plainclothes officers when he distributed Falun Gong informational materials on the afternoon of July 27, 2016. His home was ransacked. He was taken to the Weihai City Detention Center.

Ms. Song Liping and Ms. Zheng Guiqin, both over 50 years old, from the Tiantie Metallurgical Group, were arrested by officers from the Shenshan Police Station when they distributed Falun Gong informational materials on the evening of July 29, 2016. They are still held in the Shenshan Police Station. The police ransacked Ms. Song's home and confiscated Falun Gong books, a computer, and a printer.
7. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Jianxiang Arrested
Ms. Li Jianxiang, 66, from Yishui County, was arrested by officers from the Longjiaquan Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong at the west end of Nanzhuang Bridge at noon on July 27, 2016. She was taken back home that evening.

8. [Greater Khingan, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yu Qin and Ms. Qu Shuyun Arrested
Ms. Yu Qin, 64, and Ms. Qu Shuyun, 85, from Jiagedaqi District were arrested by plainclothes officers when they distributed Falun Gong informational materials on Chaoyang Road in Jiagedaqi District on the afternoon of July 29, 2016. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong from Ms. Qu's home. Ms. Qu was released that day. Ms. Yu is being held in the Jiagedaqi District Detention Center.

Mr. Ran Zhongchao and his wife were arrested at Wukuaishi Station on the morning of July 30, 2016. The couple were taken to the Shuiyan Police Station for interrogation. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books, printed materials, and cell phones. Two hours later the couple walked out of the police station.
10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Xuqin Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown
On July 31, 2016, Ms. Jiang Xuqin, accompanied by lawyers and several other people, brought daily necessities to three relatives who were held in custody in Pingshun County in Shanxi Province. The police took Ms. Jiang into custody claiming that they had her recorded confession. Her whereabouts are unknown.
