Four Canadian Cities Recognize World Falun Dafa Day

(Minghui.org) The mayors of four cities in British Columbia, Canada recently sent congratulatory letters or proclamations to local Falun Dafa groups, praising their contributions to the community, and celebrating World Falun Dafa Day.

Chris Pieper the mayor of Armstrong proclaims May 2017 as Falun Dafa Month. The proclamation says that Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries and continues to the universal dream of a peaceful, tolerant, and more compassionate society.

Congratulatory letter from Jonathan Cote, the mayor of New Westminster. The mayor said the city is pleased to have groups such as Falun Dafa for they promote health and harmony.

Phil Kent, the mayor of Duncan, British Columbia, proclaimed May 2017 as Falun Dafa Month. The proclamation recognizes that "Falun Dafa is a peaceful self-improvement practice rooted in traditional Chinese culture that consists of five gentle exercises including meditation, and moral teachings centred on the values of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance."
