(Minghui.org) When we get together to study the Fa and exchange cultivation experiences, we often hear fellow practitioners say, “I don’t know what to talk about,” or “I'm not ready to talk about a certain experience yet.”

I’d like to share my understanding. We do the three things every day and constantly need to maintain a balance of our time with friends, family, and responsibilities at work.

We also need to do truth-clarification projects, and we have to do everything well. Whenever we encounter conflicts, we try to look inward and try not to develop the attachment to complacency when things are going smoothly. When things become difficult, we should remember:

“When disciples have ample righteous thoughtsMaster has the power to turn back the tide”(“The Master-Disciple Bond” from Hong Yin Vol. II)

Every one of us faces these challenges, tests to our xinxing. The tribulations are arranged by Master, and we will only handle them well when we expose our attachments and work to let them go. If we improve our xinxing, then we should have something to share with other practitioners. This is the cultivation format Master has given us, and we should cherish it.

Each time we share our understanding with other practitioners, I feel like we have broken through a barrier. When we are able to break through barriers using our righteous thoughts, I think that we should sincerely share our experiences. If we're not willing to talk about it, however, then attachments may be holding us back. This could relate to the attachment to losing face, thinking that our experiences are not good enough, or maybe we're afraid of being criticized.

It seems that some practitioners just avoid allowing themselves to be known and won't speak. I've realized that this is one of the reasons we fail to identify our attachments when we look inward – we may be afraid that by talking about how we had a tough time handling a situation, we may be exposing our weaknesses.

If we openly share with other practitioners, we can all talk about our understanding based on the Fa, and we can identify our shortcomings. Even those who just listen can see their own shortcomings and improve.

Please point out anything inappropriate in my understanding.
