(Minghui.org) A Shenyang City resident serving time for her faith has been denied family visits in the past two months.

Ms. Yao Fengyun was seized outside her apartment building on July 27, 2016. Police targeted her because she refused to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. They confiscated her cell phone, phone book, and house key, before proceeding to ransack her home.

Ms. Yao was tried on November 18, 2016, and her son testified in her defense. The presiding judge later sentenced her to 3.5 years in prison. After her appeal was rejected, her family hired a lawyer on her behalf.

Ms. Yao was admitted to Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on April 11, 2017. While her loved ones were allowed to see her on May 15, their subsequent requests to visit her, made on June 15, July 7, and July 13, have been repeatedly denied.

Ms. Yao is imprisoned in Division 11, which is headed by Yu Xin and Zhu Mulan. Their phone number is +86-24-31236309.

Officer Fu Dequan led the latest arrest of Ms. Yao. Fu was also responsible for Ms. Yao’s previous arrest on October 21, 2015, when she was targeted for filing a criminal complaint against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong. Though Ms. Yao was released one month later in 2015, she found herself monitored by special agents all the time. She moved to a different apartment, only to be arrested again months later.
