(Minghui.org) “In other daycare centers, we have to bribe the teachers so that they will be nice to our child. You don’t ask for money, but you are so good to the kids!”
Whenever I hear parents tell me something like this, I am very grateful. I once relentlessly pursued money and fame and suffered from many illnesses. It is Falun Dafa that has taught me to think of others first and treat everyone with a benevolent heart.
I started a daycare at my home in 1996. I was in very poor health, suffering from gallstones, lumbar disc herniation, neurosis, cervical spondylosis, and anemia.
My brother gave me a copy of Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Dafa, in 1997. Without giving it much thought, I washed my hands and sat down to read. I was deeply attracted by this book and read for over an hour. Normally, I was not able to sit for that long, given my lumbar disc herniation.
Soon after I started to practice Falun Dafa, I felt energetic and regained my strength. I recovered from my illnesses and could do household chores without a problem.
Once I saw a five-year-old boy playing with a ring. He told me that he had taken it from his mother without telling her. I told him that he should not take things from others and told him to take it back to his mother. Afraid that his mother might punish him, he threw the ring on the floor. When his father came to pick him up, I gave him the ring. It was their wedding ring! I asked him not to beat the boy.
The father asked me why I was so kind, and I responded, “I am practicing Falun Dafa and follow the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. My Master told us that we need to think of others first.”
He said, “Thank you! Falun Dafa is good! If everyone learns it, then society will be truly good!”
A mother put 5,000 yuan in her son's pocket and forgot to take it out. I found the money but left it there. The mother rushed to our daycare to ask for the jacket. Seeing the money was still there, she was relieved and thanked me. I told her that I am practicing Falun Dafa and would not take anything that does not belong to me. She was moved and asked me questions about Falun Dafa.
A boy was naughty at home. When his mother punished him, he said, “Our daycare teacher told us to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Therefore, an adult should not beat a child.” His mother laughed and was no longer angry.
A child peed in his pants, but his parents had not left extra clothes for him. I called his parents and went to their store to get a pair of pants for him. A customer in the store heard about it and asked me, “Are you that Falun Dafa lady who runs a daycare? Everyone here knows that you are very nice to the children.”
A policeman came to my daycare center and told me that he had done some research and found out that I was a Dafa practitioner. I confirmed that I practiced Dafa. He said, “We want to send our daughter to your center. Two daycare sites in the neighborhood have closed, because people have been sending their kids to you. They say that you are so good to the kids.”
A boy stayed in my center for an entire winter, as his mother was busy running a business. He likes dumplings with sweet filling, so I made it for him every Saturday. When I listened to Master’s Fa lecture, he also listened. When I did the exercises, he did not interrupt me.
When a couple got a divorce, the mother asked me to adopt their child. “You are so kind. I know that you will treat him as if he were your son. He also wants to stay with you.”
A child had a small intestinal hernia and was rejected by other daycare centers. But, I took him. When I listened to Master’s Fa lecture during the children's nap time, he listened with me. His hernia eventually disappeared. I told his parents about Falun Dafa and asked that they quit the Communist Party. They said to me, “Withdraw us! What Falun Dafa teaches is true!”
I was reminded of the energy field of a Buddha and a cultivator, which the founder of Dafa talked about: “The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and harmonizes everything.” (Zhuan Falun).
