(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yu Hongying Faces Trial
Ms. Yu Hongying was scheduled to be tried at 3 p.m. on June 1, 2023.
2. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Shuchun Arrested
Officers from the Qianguo County Police Department and the Baiyilaga Township Police Station went to Ms. Wang Shuchun’s home on the afternoon of May 24, 2023. They ransacked the home and confiscated numerous Falun Gong books. Ms. Wang was not at home at the time. Her husband is not a practitioner, but the police took him. They later arrested Ms. Wang and released her husband.
3. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Wang Deli Arrested
Wang Deli (gender unknown) from Zhifu District, around 70, was reported to police for distributing information about Falun Gong in the Baishi Road Residential Community, and was arrested by officers from the Baishi Road Police Station on May 25, 2023.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gong Shuying Arrested
Ms. Gong Shuying was arrested by officers from the Nanhu Police Station on the afternoon of May 18, 2023.
5. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Guan Ziping Harassed
Two community members from Yantan Sub-district of Chengguan District, went to Guan Ziping’s home at around 8 p.m. on May 6, 2023. The female staff member started video recording as soon as she entered the apartment. The male staff member asked questions such as, “Do you practice Falun Gong?” “Have you written the four statements?” etc. They said that they talked to the landlord and told him and other tenants that they must cooperate with them.
Officer Chen Yukai from the Yantan Police Station sent a WeChat QR code link to the landlord, requiring all renters to register for the Admiralty National Anti-Fraud Center APP, and to report the screenshot and identity information.
6. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Yuan and Meng Arrested
Yuan and Meng (first names and genders unknown), both 68, were arrested when they talked to people about Falun Gong in the Anziling Township Market in Qinglong County on May 9, 2023. They were interrogated in the Anziling Township Police Station. They have been detained in the Qinhuangdao City Police Hospital since May 10, 2023 because of their health.
7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Tan Liwei Arrested
Ms. Tan Liwei was taken to the Zhengzhuangzi Township Police Station in the Kaiping District, for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Jiazhuangzi Market on May 26, 2023.
8. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hu Chenhua Arrested
Ms. Hu Chenhua from Yi County was arrested in Baoding City while she was staying in her daughter’s home to take care of her grandchild from late March to early May 2023. She was released on bail pending trial.
9. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chi Yujuan and Ms. Chi Fengchun Arrested
Ms. Chi Yujuan was arrested by officers from the Xinhua Police Station at around 1 p.m. on May 25, 2023. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books and over 100 yuan in paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts.
Ms. Chi Fengchun from Laozhaozhuang was arrested around May 13, 2023. She was released a few days later.
10. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Yu Minghuan Harassed
Mr. Yu Minghuan from Fanzhai Township was harassed at around 7 p.m. on May 12, 2023. A desk calendar was confiscated.
11. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] The Homes of Ms. Li Shujun and Ms. Gao Xiuzhi Ransacked
Ms. Li Shujun and Ms. Gao Xiuzhi live in Chengguan Town, Yongqing County. They went together to talk to people about Falun Gong and were arrested by officers from the North Xinliu Township Police Station on April 27, 2023. The police went to ransack Ms. Gao’s home and confiscated Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and informational materials about Falun Gong. They then ransacked Ms. Li’s home and confiscated many Falun Gong-related materials, and an e-tricycle. Ms. Li was held for three days in a detention house.
Ms. Gao and Ms. Li went to the police station several times and tried to get back the confiscated items but were not successful.
